We "experienced" the southwest cheif in 2000. We figure it is part of the
Philmont experience. We were a day early and on time going out. It is a good
way to travel with out the hassle of driving. On the return trip, the train
was 5 hours late picking us up, so expect delays on the return trip. We are
going to Philmont in June 2003 and plan on taking the train if they are
still in business.
