We have found that the train is always late, your best bet is to arrive at
Philmont a day early if you possibly can and you check in will not be as
hecktic as it would be if you were to arrive the same day late as Amtrak
always has been.But make sure you go through the proper procedures through
Philmont or you might not have a place to stay there. Just my insight Skip
