I just got back from PHILMONT so I haven't seen the entire thread on this so
I may be speaking out of turn but the discussion I've seen is about a
PHILMONT belt so I'll add my 2 cents worth.

I last went to PHILMONT in 1972 and purchased a leather belt and buckle with
the PHILMONT bull on it. After 30 years, I'm still proudly wearing both.
While at PHILMONT this year we were touring the Villa Philmonte and someone
asked me when I had purchased my buckle. When I told them 1972, the comment
was that they don't make them like that any more. The belt is a little
darker from wear, has a couple of extra holes punched at both ends to match
the weight loss/gain over 30 years but it's certainly in great shape and
should last the rest of my Scouting career.
