I would be surprised if your pack is made ouf of something you can't run
through the washer. Take it off the frame, take out any metal supports (if
you can) and wash it. IF the power washer doesn't work, I wouldn't be
surprised to find a more, um, traditional washing method works.

I don't mean it is inadequate. I mean that, after goodness knows how many

same dilemma. Just ask those people you hike with. How can it not develop
a certain aroma after hiking for hours in the heat and humidity of the
Southeast (I live in Louisiana)?
What is the solution to this problem short of buying a new backpack? How
can a backpack be cleaned and deodorized?
