We had one ranger insist on our first day on the trail that we were required
to eat the meals in numerical order. I chuckled at the thought but later
found out that for dinner, when he showed the group how to make dinner #1,
he had brought along some additional ingredients for the main course and the
dessert as an extra treat.
Those tricky rangers!
Also on the meal # topic you may find you will not get all meals while at
Philmont. Sometimes when you pick up food later in the trek at a commissary
you get what they have on hand and you may have had that earlier.
