Every person's water intake needs are different. But if you are still
learning how your body is effected by rigorus exercise, drinking 1 qt an
hour is a good place to start. It has never failed me. You may find that
your body needs more or less than that. Continuing to eat food if the
exercise is over more than a short period of time will help your body
replace things it lost during sweating. For example, when I ride my
bike I munch on a few pretzls and drink water. Back when I was a
Ranger, I would not eat all of my breakfast, say everything but half my
Powerbar. I'd drink water during the day and take a bite of my powerbar
as the day went along on up into lunch.
But listen to Jim Moss, the man knows what he's talking about.
