RE: [Philmont]: Philmont Duty to God Patches

For those of you not familiar with the patch, it is new to Philmont this
year, and like the Arrowhead patch must be earned by the hiker. So, while
it costs $3, not everyone can buy one.

The requirements are something along the lines of:

1. Attend at least one chapel service at CHQ.
2. Participate in crew devotions at least 3 times on the trail.
3. Lead your crew in a before meal grace at least once on the trail.

There may be one or two more; this is all I remember.

Although the patch costs $3 at TOTT, you can only obtain it by presenting a
form, signed by the crew's chaplain's aide, stating you have completed all
the requirements.

When we came off the trail TOTT was out of the patches, but they examined
our completed forms, stamped them to show they had been turned in, and had
me pay for the patches and fill out an order form for the 10 patches our
crew earned. When the patches come in at TOTT, they will send them to me,
without a shipping charge.
