Dr. Bob,

Excellent experience report and summary. Some additions I would like to
make. First, spring for ZoneAlarm Pro from zonelabs. Doesn't cost that
much and you get support along with a better product. For those of us with
high speed connections, if you run a router between your computer and the
"modem" you have somewhat of a firewall. It doesn't protect you from
everything, thus the need for ZA, but does make you more or less invisible
to the outside world. If you are running multiple computers in your system,
you most likely already have this hardware. If not, it's becoming very
inexpensive. Those with dial up don't have this advantage without some
extra hardware. However, I never found a good solution for a dial up server
before I got my high speed connection.
