Is there a Ford dealership in Raton or Cimarron? If so, I'd think about
having it towed there for repair. If you're not a member of AAA, join.
One of their benefits is free towing nationwide of member vehicles I
believe up to 150 miles. Have them tow the vehicle to a "local" dealer,
let them repair it and then your son could drive it home. Unless you or
your son plan on doing the repair yourself, this would be the cheapest
way out. The suggestion to talk with Mark at Philmont is a good idea
also. Your local Ford dealership might be able to help out also. Good
luck.
