Mark,
The demand for Philmont is nationally larger than Philmont can handle. I would recommend you work within your local district or council and take another 3 Scouts. You will provide a lifetime of memories for three very lucky Scouts. My son has been to Philmont each of the last 4 years and the first 3 were with other Troops including one from Alabama.
If you can't find anyone locally I've got an adult and at least 2 Scouts were not old enough to go this year and would love to go next year. We are close enough to provide our own transportation.
Have fun gettting ready to go it is more than half the fun.
