RE: [Philmont]: Butt Paste

While I have heard great things about Desitin, we managed to get to Philmont
with only Gold Bond Powder and Gold Bond Lotion. Turns out, the lotion
ain't half bad (as they say here in Texas). Few complaints. I will be
looking into the Butt Paste, if not for any more reason than the name :-).

I would add, most of the discomfort can be avoided, in the first place, if
the hikers were to wear short running tights (NOT biker tights!!) instead of
boxers or briefs. Those of us that have the big runners/bikers quads have
avoided the chafe problem for years by wearing tights. I wore them and only
had a little chafe on one particularly rainy (and hail) day.

No report on Butt Paste, but I was seriously disappointed in the performance
of Aveeno's Fragrance Free Diaper Rash Cream. In our experience, Desitin is
far superior. I retract my previous plug for Aveeno. Now, if we could only
get Pfizer to dump the "pleasant fragrance"....
