Again, I guessing, since I'm not the original poster.
Roses, Thorns & Buds you are familiar with. I think as part of the Duty
to God award requirements, the crew is supposed to do a
inspirational/vespers/chapel type of reflection. Philmont gives each
treker a small handbook, "Eagles Soaring High, Trail Worship for
Christians, Muslems and Jews", and I know that at the Protestant chapel
service at base camp, small New Testaments are also available.
