[Philmont]: News From My Crew

One of my crew members called and reported that one of my Scouts, Sam
from Troop 74 in Edinburg, Texas was selected as the 800,000 Scout to
attend the ranch and presented with a nice commemorative knife as an
award.

On a side note, Sam chose Philmont with his Troop Buddies over Jambo
with our Council Contingent and is an excellent example of all the
good things in Scouting. He is easily one of the finest young men I
have ever had the privilege of knowing.
