I should have mentioned that Philmont will allow a crew smaller than 12 (I think it is at least 7(?)). So you might not have to take any action unless you are just trying hard to fill the slots or it's a council contigent....

Our Troop has 2 crews for 2006, 727-h. We only have 3 adult advisors, one has already dropped out. We have a spot for One advisor and 1-2 youth. How have members of this list filled spots like this in the past? Have they worked out? This is considering the dynamics of a Troop that has backpacked together quite a bit before going, feeling comfortable with each others pace and then putting new face in with this. My thought is to call the council high adventure chairman and ask for help off the council waiting list or asking for those on the philmont waiting list subscribed to this list for interested people.
