I think that 3 advisors in each crew is the way to go, just incase one
advisor gets sick/hurt and has to leave the trail. I think this is good
planning for any High Adventure activity - Philmont, Northern Tier, any back
pack trek, etc. At Northern Tier one of our adults got hurt, had to fly out
on a float plan, and our crew was able to continue. This adult later joined
us for the last 2 nights.
Check with your Council High Adventure committee, they might be able to help
with finding scouts or adult to fill spots. OR as suggested, ask at your
next District Roundtable. You should have NO problem filling any spots you
want to fill. It is a shame to waste spots when so many want to go to
Philmont.
Where are you?????
