This is one of my beefs with Logistics/Registration.

Tooth of Time Traders, RIGHT NEXT DOOR, takes credit cards.
Seton Library/Philmont Museum, RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, takes credits cards.
PTC Registration, only 1/3 mile away TAKES CREDITS CARDS.

So, why does CHQ registration NOT take credit cards?

Sigh. At least they make sure you know that.

For our crew two years ago, the person in our troop ignored my urging to NOT
pay for more than the minimum and we ended up eating the full fee (I think
$465) for the kid who withdrew due to in-grown toenail.

This year, for 808-K (got back yesterday), we only paid for 7. We had 10
but one withdrew due to business requirements, so only 9 went, and paid the
balance when we got there. No problems or comments from Philmont.

I'll post my comments on the experience later. I'm trying to catch up with
1000 emails that accumulated over the last 2 weeks.
