Pete and all --

I agree with Pete -- the food's not great, but certainly edible and occasionally tasty (Chinese and Mexican). Our guys never complained (except for our pseudo-vegetarian). The only thing approaching a complaint was that there was not enough macaroni and cheese! We swapped out some items, but mainly because we had too much food. The swap box was a useful tool for lightening our food load.

As to the bear bags, we found thought they were fine, too. I would recommend that you put your personal smellables in a waterproof bag (I used a zip-loc), but the bear bags were strong and lightweight.

Maybe Pete and I were just lucky we left on 7/24!
