According to the Council and Unit Planning Guide, yes you may bring your
own food, and Philmont will try to deliver it to your designated
commissary at the appropriate time, BUT this option is only available
for religious and/or medical reasons. Because you don't like something
doesn't get it. You can bring your own food and carry it the whole way
(many crews do supplement their meals in this manner) but you have to
weigh the advantages and disadvantages [yes pun intended]. However,
there is no fee reduction for bringing your own food. One price fits
all regardless.
