[Philmont]: Rattlesnakes

I've only seen two rattlesnakes at Philmont. One in the boulders atop
Tooth of Time and the other ("see" was actually "heard" for this one)
along the trail coming down the Tooth into camp.

Unfortunately I know of at least one death from a rattlesnake bite.
While in nursing school in the late 60's my wife helped care for a very
large logger who was bitten by what was described as a small timber
rattler. He didn't make it. I don't know if this death was reported
to whoever tries to keep up with snake bite deaths or not.
