One of our crew members this summer stopped just off the trail on
tooth ridge to relieve himself, and said over his shoulder to the crew
"hey guys, look, I'm peeing on a rattlesnake". Luckily the snake was
less insulted than I would have been and didn't do anything. We did
insist that he discontinue his activity immediately and back away. It
was a pretty small one.
