To Don and the Philmont list,
The problem I have is not with the people posting messages on this list
server. Quite to the contrary. Many people post messages from their work
place or they have the "return receipt requested" as part of their personal
e-mail. I have no problem with it because in many cases, it's needed or
it's required by their work place.
My problem is with the posters on this site who, upon seeing the little box
pop up on their screen that says, "The sender has requested a return
receipt. Do you want to send one?" Each of us is given the choice of
clicking "Yes" or "No".
A "Yes" answer sends yet another no-value email to the thousands of people
on this list. A "No" answer doesn't.
Please click "NO" when the sender requests a return receipt. You'll be
doing everyone a favor.
Thank you. I now step down from my soap box.
