[Philmont]: "Return receipt requested" Yes or No (My last words on the subject)

Philmonters,

I'm not trying to upset anyone here. After re-reading some of my posts, it
may appear that I'm quite angry about this subject. I'm not. This is
simply an attempt at educating that may be blowing up on me.

If I've upset any of you with my comments about people who click "Yes" when
they see an e-mail pop-up box indicating the sender has requested a return
receipt, I humbly apologize. There may be several here who think I'm making
a mountain out of a mole hill, and it's quite possibly true.

The typed word has a way of being skewed to make it look as if I'm angry
about the nuisance. I'm not. I simply reiterate that I'm not spending time
on this subject because of people who request a return receipt for their
every email. I understand.

We just don't have to click "Yes" to their request.

By clicking "Yes", EVERY person on the Philmont list gets a return receipt,
not just the sender who asks for one. I believe there are some here who
don't realize that. It's that action that I'm trying to change.

Simply click "No" when asked to send a return receipt.

'Nuff said. I'll never bring it up again. FIDO.

Pete
