I think it's hit or miss as far as rain is concerned. We were there, apparently, during the monsoons, but we only encountered rain and hail once at Dean Cow and it rained on us again, go figure, on the switchbacks going into base camp from the Tooth. If I read the microclimates there, the farther south you are, the more incidence of rain you might expect to see.
