We had a lot of Alps equipment in our crew. We had a number of crew
members that were new to backpacking prior to starting our training so
there was a lot of gear for them to buy. Two tents (Mystique 2), three
sleeping bags (Clearwater), and four packs (two Cascades and two Red
Tails). There was also a lot of Alps gear in our other two crews. All
performed without any issues. I would consider most of their gear mid
range compared to others in the market, but more than adequate for
Philmont. The price to quality ratio is outstanding.
