This summer, our entire crew of twelve took it's first trek to Philmont. We
took the advice of several on this board by wearing our boots to the train.
It worked. Everyone had them and no one was forced to break-in new boots on
the trail.
Great advice, Philmonters...

One of our scouts (an Eagle scout we called "Super Scout.") forgot his
boots. He realized it at the train station just before we left.
Fortunately, he didn't live too far away and his dad was able to get them in
time.
But we still laugh about Super Scout forgetting his boots!
