[Philmont] Travel by Amtrak

There was some discussion on this list about using Amtrak to
Philmont. I just got back from a personal trip from Missouri to
California and back on Amtrak.

I observed four separate contingents going or coming from Philmont on
my train, the Southwest Chief, during the period I was riding. There
may have been others I did not happen to see.

A troop from Buffalo NY (I think) going to Philmont on Saturday, Aug 5
A troop from Orange Co California going back home on Saturday, Aug 5
5 Rivers Council of NY-PA going back home on Monday, Aug 14
A troop from St. Louis (Crew 2467) going back home on Monday, Aug 14

They all seemed to be having a great time.
