Well, as always, many opinions...
I was in the Monsoons with Joe in '04 and even with that I pass on the rain
pants.
A good rain jacket, GoreTex preferred, and a pack cover is a must ... no
issues with pack covers being a problem.
I also go the gator route, they may look goofy but they keep socks and boots
dry.
On another note, I'm still looking for pictures of the following staff camps
for the PhilSearch project: Baldy Camp, Carson Meadows, Dan Beard Camp,
Dean Cow Camp, Harlan Camp, Indian Writings Camp, Rich Cabins, Ring Place,
Seally Canyon and Whiteman Vega.
I'm also looking for shots of these activities: Archaeology, Archery 3D,
Astronomy, Bikeathlon, Burro Racing, Cantina, Cantina Show, Chuck Wagon
Breakfast, Dutch Oven Dessert, Folk Weather Forecasting, Hart Peak, Historic
Homestead, Land Navigation / GPS Tecnology, Leave No Trace Camping, Mexican
Dinner, Mountain Biking, Mountain Man Rendezous, Scout Rededication
Ceremony, Search & Rescue, Shotgun shooting & reloading - 12 Gauge, Tour
Petroglyphs, Tyrannosaurus Rex Track and Wilderness First Aid.
Any assistance would be appreciated. If you do choose to share some shots,
please include the year, trek #, name of the photographer, unit number and
home town for proper credit.
