[Philmont] White Gas Usage

Philmont was GREAT!!!
Our crew was made up of 11 people.
We purchased 128oz of white gas, but actually used 80oz.
We returned the rest to Services as we checked out.

  Holy Smoke! You wouldn't believe how much white gas is returned to Camping Services after treks are over. We have had about 100 gallons of white gas returned.

  In order to help advise crews about how much white gas they need, I need your help.

  Those of you completing treks this summer could be a big help, if you would let me know:

  Crew size
  Quantity (in ounces) of white gas purchased
  Quantity (in ounces( of white gas actually used
  Did you return unused gas to Services or give it to an outbound crew?

  Thanks for your help.

  The unused gas is used to heat the motor pool garage during the winter. I know they appreciate your contributions, but we really don't want you buying more gas that you need.

  The season is over for 2006. Hope you all had a wonderful trek, or are planning for a trek in 2007. (or both)
