[Philmont] For all those that have used a GPS at Philmont

For those of you that have used a GPS at Philmont I would be interested in
hearing about how you used them.

Did you leave it on all day and track log your entire trip?

Did you just mark locations such as camps, trail intersections, etc?

What unit did you take?

How many batteries did you take, was it enough/to many?

Did you load waypoints from the internet before you left?

Did you actually use it for navigation or more as a toy?

Any other usefull information would be appreciated.

Not to be rude, but I'm not interested in hearing opinions as to whether or
not they are useful or should be carried at Philmont.

Thanks,
Steve
