Shane,

You know I'm all about the scouts making decisions. However, after reading
"21 pizzas", I started laughing out loud in my office. After two weeks of
plain trail food, I would be willing to bet many of the crew had stomach issues
after the 21 pizzas. I'm not going to defend or offend you, I just pictured
kids in the latrines doubled over. But, if you ask the kids, I feel certain they
would say the pain was worth the flavor of pizzas.

All right. I've gotta take up for the pizza eating crews (at least for our
pizza eating crews). Sometimes you need to see the whole picture before you
bring down the fire.

We do have a Day 12 post-trek pizza feast. We have Simple Simons deliver us
a pile of pies to the Welcome Center and we eat right there. In 2005, we ate
21 pizzas (4 crews).
