Why was Comanche Camp moved?  I can remember staying there in 1981 on my first trek, and my crew did #26 in 2005 (yep, both Comanches...).
I enjoyed Comanche Camp.  We stayed at the set of sites on the "west" end of the camp closest to Clear Creek.  The sound of the river just outside the tent made for great sleeping.
Sounds like they did the hikers no favors in this change...

Comanche Camp was relocated early in the 2006 season from its spot along the
Rayado to a spot up the Hill off the Trail to Red Hills.   No cow pies
there, but quite a hump at the end of a long day ... and to get water.
