The old publications used to list just a few camps (New Abreu, Zastrow,Ponil) other than the turnarounds. I was dropped off at New Abreu twice and Lover's Leap turnaround once. If you're asking them to take an extra 15 minutes to drop your crew off, it's different than asking for an extra hour and a half. They all do take safe driving instruction before being entrusted with a Ranch vehicle, so don't expect excessive speed on those dirt roads.
The roads to and from the turnarounds can be negotiated by school buses, so a certain speed can be maintained. Other "roads" do not offer the same amenities.
Again, it's hard for them to plan in advance for transportation needs when each crew finalizes its itinerary on the spot. You can expect the staff to live up to "A Scout is Courteous" when giving you and your crew a lift. If where you want to be dropped is closer to base than the turnaround, there should be no problem. It's a matter of logistics and for that, the maps themselves are invaluable.
They just don't want to encourage planning for drop-offs everywhere there is a jeep trail, no matter how remote.
