[Philmont] Staying power

Advisors are on the right track to get the crew or prospective crew out early so they can make a visual assessment of the ability and infirmities of the crew both as individuals and as a group.

This includes both youth and adults.

What appears to be a tough person that can handle whatever given often times goes strongly at first but lacks staying power.

It's the staying power, day in and day out that counts at Philmont where you get up and do it all over again each day for twelve days.

Just like athletic teams or classrooms, some members need more individual attention than others and to treat the entire crew with a shotgun justice approach to training is not only a mistake but an insult.

Kids are smarter than ever today and if you give them the attention THEY need, not what the group needs as a whole they appreicate that ane respect you for it.

And now is the time to find out what going on overnight campouts doesn't show you.
