[Philmont] Fun hikes in East Texas

        The length of the trail and the tall pines are its strengths but it flat and is almost at sea level, so no altitude training.I liked it also because I knew I was not going in a circle. This is a 3 1/2 drive from Austin, but well worth it!

  But your get credit for snorkling merit badge beacuse in August in the piney woods of East Texas it is S-T-I-F-F-L-I-N-G hot and humid, but don't let me stop you for having a real adventure. Bring your gills.
