[philmont] Quest for adulthood

The boys had their first brainstorming session last night. One of the things they considered was putting together our own camp in a wilderness area, much like what John and some others suggested.

Thank you again, and keep those suggestions coming!

  ######################################

You can go to summer camp
You can go to a jamboree
  You can go to Philmont
You can get guidebooks and go virtually anywhere
But when you put all your hard earned skills together and do a
wilderness adventure all by yourself, then the group grows
tremendously in their quest for adulthood and that's what it's all about.

And then again, your group might very well be the next group to find a downed airman from WWII just like happened in Kings Canyon recently or a long lost climber on Mt. Everest

I was wrong when I posted a few days ago that the sky was the limit. There is no limit to what boys can do when they set their mind to it.
