[philmont] Ponil water taste

I think the reason they have root beer at Ponil is it has a history of bad tastign water. I remember my Scoutmaster commenting about it from when they first went to Philmont back in the late 1930's. A smelly or bad tasting aquifer remains that way forever if it's picking up the "stuff" from the aquafer itself.

What about dipping your Nalgene in the water from the canoe and drinking it straight at Northern Tier. That's good water. I think the bartender at Ponil spiked that water so he could sell more root beer at the new inflated price.
