[Philmont] 2008 Web Based Registration

Council HA chairs began to receive packets at the annual meeting in Dallas
last week. I'll pdf it tomorrow.

The high points:

Philmont

Arrival dates for 2009 HA treks - June 8 through August 9, Short treks start
8/10-8/14

Cost $595

2009 Unit reservation information will be mailed in October to units
requesting it and will be posted at www.scouting.org/philmont

Units can request to be included in the mailing by email to
camping@philmontscoutranch.org or by calling 505-376-2281 x225

Process is as in past years, one week assigned per region for requests to
submitted electronically followed by an open week followed by the lottery.

Units can only register members of their chartered unit, but may request
multiple crews.

Units with confirmed 2008 reservations may not place a reservation for 2009;
Units may not attend two years in a row.

Units that have been waitlisted for four consecutive years will be given
priority treatment

Cavalcade lottery is in January, units must request consideration in writing
(email OK)

Double H

June 20-July 27th 7 day treks.Packets sent to units that request, as above
except its doubleh@philmontscoutranch.org
