The central fund is definitely the way to go. Chipping
in is not only a real pain in the backside to manage,
no one ever has the right change for it to come out
right and you have to go and collect at the point of
purchase etc, but inevitably, when it comes time to
chip in later in the trip (like on the way home)
someone (or several) won't have money left to chip in.

If he doesn't want to have an extra shirt so be it,
don't make the extra shirt part of the central fund,
take "extra shirt" orders and handle the extras
separately. This goes back to crew identity a little,
I would assume that he WILL be wearing a crew trail
shirt like the rest of the crew but he doesn't want
more than one or what ever the minimum requirement
would be. If not, I feel like Coop, he's not thinking
in terms of being part of a crew.
