Greetings All,
 
Based on the number of in-town bear sightings and other incidents involving
bears during the latter part of the summer, and the scarcity of food,
particularly acorns, during a critical time for bruins, there were a lot of very
underweight bears that went into hibernation this fall. If this winter is as
severe as some expect, some of the "bear problem" may not survive. A harsh
remedy, but unfortunately, sometimes nature is that way.
