As we've been told (or at least some of us have), the current list moderator
does not have the same system and capability to filter, edit, etc. The Sheriff
is gone and this is what we have to work with. Gotta get past the way it used
to be. It's still a good list, it's the best we can have for now, so let's try
to make it work. We can start by being a little patient - and nice.
I'm greatful to have this list. I enjoy the reading, info sharing, camradarie,
and sometimes getting new info before anyone else.
It doesn't hurt to remind folks that when you "reply" you should edit out most,
or all, of the original, leaving only what's necessary to clarify the reply.
If you don't know how to do that, try to learn, it's good netiquette. (Get
your kid to show you.)
If you need to reply to someone and it's private or not of general interest to
the list, reply off-list. (Know that hitting the "Reply" button sends it to
the whole list, so some folks might need to learn about this, too.)
It's all commen sense, isn't it?
Thanks, and be nice!
Julian Love
