You may request a Contingent picture and you will be billed for the number
of prints that are ordered. Sam Houston Area Council typically orders a few
of each Contingent for the record.
I usually recommend crews try to get their picture done early in the morning
as the sun is behind the photographer and the higher and brighter it gets
the more you squint. Two pictures are usually taken. Used to be you had to
do one with no hats or sunglasses for identification purposes and the second
could be with these items and that was the one they usually printed for you
to take home. On my last 2 treks they insisted on no hats or sunglasses at
all so I asked the photographer to take one our way with my Nikon and he
gladly agreed. As I recall they used a nice Pentax 6x7, which has a nice big
negative.
