It is evident that the seabase group is not as active as this one. ( Maybe John and I could go;-)? For those of you interested in such a group, if it doesn't exist, then make it so! Get your other advisors to sign up, start sending each other questions and mail. Most people who surf and slink around groups are looking for action. If they don't see any then they move on. Ask your self questions, post responses from this list, do what it takes, but if messages arrive everyday then eventually people will "find" you and participate. Good Luck!
By the way I grew up in Plantation Florida, and camped often at Camp Sawyer in the Keys, which is used by Seabase. It is a small key owned by South Florida Council, south of Bahia Honda State Park and immediately north of Big Pine Key. All I have to offer is bring Sun screen, the intensity is like no other sun around, and unless you live in South Florida, you will fry in less time than on the jersey shore! Also if you are landbased for your adventure, bring lots of insect repelleant and a scuba diving weight belt. The mosquito's are large enough to carry away a small scout or large porpoise. If you don't weigh 90 lbs then wear the scuba belt!
Best of luck and have fun!
