Re: [Philmont]: Camera -- best way to carry

I took my Canon Rebel-G with a 28-80 zoom which I used most of the time and
also an 80-200mm in a pouch that attached to the outside of the bag. The
bag and pouch are both Tamrac and were attached to my hipbelt cinch straps.
Easy access to both camera and alternate lens. It had previously survived
a 3-hour (Patent-Pending) Adirondack Gulley-Washer (one of the hardest
continuous rainstorms I've ever been caught in) with the camera and lenses
damp but not wet. I would highly recommend this bag and case!!!! I don't
recall the model number, but it is a Forest Green with black straps and
trim. Small pocket in front for film and cleaning supplies, zippered net
inside lid for filters or more film. The lens case is all black. Both are
well padded. The camera case is shaped like the camera, will fit a
200-300mm lens mounted on the camera, and faces lens down with two loops on
the back for belt attachment. With this case there are very few places I
would not take this camera. Yeah, its heavier and bulkier than the
point-and-shoots, but I really like the quality and flexibility.
