Re: [Philmont]: Favorite Equipment

Don't know if it counts as equipment but I have never been a fan of the
instant coffee packets they used to give away at the Advisor's meeting.

The last trek I went on I carried a generous supply of the Folgers Coffee
"tea bags" and did not tell the other adults on the trek that I was taking
them.

On the first morning while they were "enjoying" their cup of bitter, dark
water, I broke out my coffee packets. It wasn't quite the Community Coffee
I've grown fond of here in 'Nawlins, but it was far better than that sludge.

I brought enough for all of us to enjoy 2 per day and was a hero. I'm sure I
could have traded off carrying Crew gear in exchange for these packets, but
that wouldn't have been too Scout-like.

Well worth the extra space.
