Why can't a council contingent be a mixed crew of male venturers and boy
scouts? Last year I called Philmont to verify this and it was OK. where
are you getting your information?

This didn't apply for our council contingent. We had venturer's and
scouts
in the same crew (all male). 2 18 year olds shared a tent. Most of the
crew
are dual members.
It all applies. Just some applications, like paint, are thicker than
others. Some are opaque, some translucent and some so thin they are
useless. It depends on how much or how little information is garnered by
the applicator.
You can bet your bottom dollar that if a crew (PhilCrew) tries to slide
by, someone is not going to get on the trail.
Murphy was a Scout too you know.
So was Black Cloud, the Indian medicine man in charge of bad luck.
They tend to follow Scout units, dens, troops, crews, ships, whatever not
having their act totally together.
