We stayed at "Kirtland AFB" in 1999. When we arrived
in Albequerque airport, a bus from Kirtland picked us
up and took us to the AFB. We stayed in a gymnasium
with about 3 or 4 other troops. Seems like we arrived
around 4 or 5 PM. Scouts played basketball for a bit
(helps to adjust to altitude quicker!), we walked to
some local fast food places (I do remember that the
farther you walked the better the places got), played
some more basketball, played cards, etc., then turned
out the lights for the night around 11 PM.
I arranged all of this by calling: (505) 846-1068. I
think this was the scouting liason, we did not go
through "The Inn".
I'm pretty sure there was no cost for all of this. Of
course this was before our increased security, things
may be different now.

I'm trying to look into Kirkland AFB (in Albequerque)
as a stopover location on my unit's trip out to

Affairs ofc gave me the phone # of the Kirkland Inn on

For you folks that have used Kirkland before:
1) is the Inn the right point of contact for a Scout
unit?
2) And any info you can provide about getting in/out
of the base, food on base, costs etc. are appreciated.
