Re: [Philmont]: Unrewardable rewardsAs I recall the ranger told us to keep
fuel and stoves under the dining fly. The bear was likely to go their
anyway. Didn't want fuel stored with food in the bear bags in case of a
leak.

I have a gallon size Coleman fuel can that has been severely ventilated
in a bears maw. There are five holes in it 3/8 of an inch in diameter and
from both sides of the can.

Interesting my boss has a 1 liter sigg fuel bottle in his office with
similar marks. If you ever have any doubts as to how strong a bear is think
about how hard it would be to bite through one of those suckers Ive run
over one with a suburban without denting one. Crazy
