Don't cut it too close, though. At 7000 ft water boils at about 198
degrees F, and at 10000 ft, water boils at about 191 degrees F. Killing
the bugs requires 180 degrees F regardless of altitude. If you are in a
high camp, boiling may be a good choice.

And that is fine because all you need to do is get it to 180 degrees F
to kill anything that grows in water anyway. Water boils at 212 F, so
boiling it is overkill.
