I think it is great to talk about "favorite" camps. (Hard to choose just
one. We are not putting down the other great camps by doing so, either!!)
Wasn't what I meant to start. I meant to have "newbies" ask about camps that
were on an itinerary they were considering. But I think it is nice thing for
the Holidays, to remember the good times. Our boys really turned their nose
up at "Homesteading" at Crooked Creek. Turned out to be their favorite camp
of the whole trek, and has been a favorite since. Signe makes a very
important point about different staff making a camp completely different from
year to year. Urraca and Cimmerroncito (?) come to mind.
My "favorite", even though the scouts have not chosen to stay there since
trek 1 in 1993, is Cyphers Mine. I loved the stomp, and it is a nice change
to stay in the Aderondak (?) shacks. Great program.
