We did itinerary 28 - Trek 725 this year. It included a climb of Baldy.
I brought along my cell and surprised the boys at the top with it. They
got some kick out of calling home and telling their parents that they were
standing on top of a 12,441' mountain. I personally called a co-worker
(my age) who had been to Philmont as a youth and told me I would never
make it. Unfortunately, I got his voicemail but I enjoyed the call
nevertheless. I can at least vouch for Verizon coverage at the top of
Baldy.
